Your first visit

Your first visit at Apex Chiropractic begins with a thorough conversation about your health history, goals, and concerns. Dr. Kirsten will then perform INSiGHT neurological scans, three non-invasive assessments that measure how your nervous system is functioning: 1. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — measures your body's ability to adapt to stress 2. Rolling Thermography — detects areas of autonomic nervous system imbalance 3. Surface Electromyography (sEMG) — measures muscle tone and tension patterns along the spine These scans give Dr. Kirsten objective data to build a personalized care plan. Your first adjustment is typically on the second visit, after she has reviewed all findings and can explain exactly what is happening and why.

Is chiropractic safe for newborns and babies?

Absolutely. Pediatric adjustments use incredibly gentle pressure, about the same as you would use to test a ripe tomato. Dr. Kirsten and Dr. Jared have specialized training in pediatric care and see babies from just days old.

What is Torque Release Technique?

TRT is a gentle, tonal adjusting technique that uses a small handheld instrument called an Integrator. It delivers a precise, low-force adjustment to specific points on the spine, making it ideal for babies, children, pregnant women, and anyone who prefers a gentle approach.

What are INSiGHT scans?

INSiGHT scans are three non-invasive neurological assessments (HRV, thermography, and sEMG) that measure how your nervous system is functioning. They give us objective data to guide your care and track your progress over time.

Do you accept insurance?

Apex Chiropractic is an out-of-network practice. We accept cash, credit card, and HSA/FSA. We can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Do I need to bring my child in even if they seem healthy?

Yes. Only about 10% of the nervous system perceives pain. Your child can have nervous system interference affecting their sleep, digestion, immune function, or development without any obvious symptoms. Regular nervous system checkups help catch and correct issues early.
